Wind Song Montessori

In the fall semester 2018, our school little Rock Hounds conducted an excavation on Mount Windsong. Where they uncovered numerous semiprecious stones, crystals, and minerals. They find a wide range of specimens such as Quartz crystals, Amethyst, Tiger Eye, Sodalite, Unakite, Botswanna and Green Tree Agates. After consolidating all their finds, they cleaned them up in preparation of going into the rock tumbler. Where it took a four-stage process lasting about eight weeks. Turning their rough finds into polished gemstones, which they received on the school Christmas party.
